We have two different kinds of Anchors, talk to your dealer about
what's right for you.
Eco-Flote™ Anchoring Disks
Our proprietary anchors consist of 2 inch thick steel disks with
a hole cut through the center to accommodate 5/16 inch chain.
Each anchor measures 18 inches in diameter and weighs approximately
145 lbs. The anchors have a holding power of twice their dry weight, and
four anchors (on separate chains) are enough to secure a 40 foot
T-shaped dock. If more holding power is desired, and you have
the proper lifting equipment, up to four disks can be stacked
onto a single chain to achieve a maximum recommended weight of
580 pounds per chain.
Dor-Mor Pyramid Anchors
If
you prefer a lighter anchor, we also offer the Dor-Mor Pyramid
Anchor with a holding power up to 10 times its dry weight. Do-Mor's
smallest anchor is half the weight of our Eco-Flote anchor (70
pounds) and provides over twice the holding power (700 pounds).
The Dor-Mor is much more expensive, however, costing nearly four
times as much as one of our steel disks. We offer the Dor-Mor
in weights of 70, 135, and 200 pounds

Accessories
Anchor Housing Pipes (required)
The anchor housing pipe is used to secure your anchor to the
dock and provide you with easy access to the anchor chain. It
consists of a schedule-80 aluminum pipe that fits into the corner
of the dock frame. We have a 24 inch pipe for use with small floats
and a 36 inch pipe for medium and large floats. The pipe passes
through the frame and past the floats to guide the anchor chain
down and away from the dock, protecting it from abrasion. The
upper part of the chain is held in a slot on the top part of the
housing pipe, where it can be secured to your dock using our 5
1/2 inch aluminum padlock. When water levels change you can adjust
the length of the chain by pulling it tighter, or letting it out,
then replacing it into the slot. Once the chain is locked in place,
any excess can be fed back into the pipe to be stored out of sight.
A plastic cap can then be placed over the pipe for maximum safety
and a clean finished look.
